Raha Bakehouse, Humble grains transformed into something amazing.
Mayúscula has rebranded Raha Bakehouse, the first artisanal group of bakeries born in Kuwait that specialize in organic healthy eating and living through real bread and other healthy, organic foods. With a focus on craftsmanship and authenticity, Mayúscula embarked on a creative journey to design a unique brand identity that captures the essence of Raha Bakehouse and brings people together in community.
The logo design for Raha Bakehouse involved a geometric abstraction of the Arabic brand name, resulting in a versatile symbol that can adapt to various formats, sizes, and situations. We reinvented traditional Arabic typography to transform it into a geometric graphic symbol that is also legible, and sets the brand apart from its competitors. By simplifying typography to the maximum, we transform it it into elements with endless expressive possibilities. The bilingual wordmark in Arabic and English was custom drawn with stencil letters.
To convey authenticity and the artisanal nature of Raha Bakehouse, Mayúscula looked back in time to an era when things were more humble, less industrialized, just like the art of bread-making. The letterpress method was used to stamp the typography with wooden blocks, creating a real textured texture that was not created with the computer, but in an artisanal way. This approach infuses the brand with a unique personality that extends to all its applications, including the visual system, stationery, packaging, website, and social media communication.
Mayúscula started the project with the brand strategy, followed with verbal identity (naming, claim, key messages, storytelling and copywriting) and visual identity. We developed all types of brand applications needed in delivery packaging and supermarkets, such as disposable and reusable packaging, napkins, tickets, adhesive labels, menus, iconography, product tags, uniforms, wrapping papers, paper cups, website, and social media templates, among others.
Raha Bakehouse has established itself as a recognized and loved brand within the culinary scene in Kuwait and the Middle East.
